Jo Ann Giddens is a diverse artist based in Norman, Oklahoma. At 92 years old, she is the veteran artist among those featured in this collection. She is also my grandmother. Kali Giddens - whose work is also featured in this collection- is my niece and JoAnn’s oldest great-granddaughter. Jo Ann started painting at ten years old when she completed a piece for her grandmother.

She took a hiatus from painting until around 1975. She has worked with many artistic mediums from oils, watercolors, and lithographs to wearable art. Her collection continues to reflect a more contemporary point of view. Her works highlight a unique vision and perspective.
